IAEA says nuclear facilities must be protected against cyberattacks

TVA: Watts Bar Unit 2 may be operational by year's end

The Tennessee Valley Authority’s Watts Bar Unit 2 plant is in the final phases of construction, and a TVA official recently said it is on track to be the first new nuclear plant of the 21st century. The TVA said the facility, upon completion, will generate approximately 1,150 megawatts of safe, carbon-free power. It’s estimated that Unit 2 will help TVA avoid emissions of 6 to 8 million tons of carbon dioxide a year. Read More »
