Oak Ridge National Laboratory issued the following announcement on April 16.
Zhili Feng, a research at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been elected fellow of the International Institute of Welding (IWW) "for lifetime achievement through distinguished contributions to the field of welding science and technology, and for promoting and sustaining the professional stature of the field." Feng is a member of the Materials Science and Technology Division's Materials Processing & Joining group.
Retired ORNL Corporate Fellow Stan David was also elected IIW fellow in recognition of his long career in welding research and development. Fellows will be formally inducted at the IIW Annual Assembly in Bali, Indonesia, this summer.
