FirstEnergy Solutions said on Wednesday that it has appointed Brian Farley as its new vice president of sales.
Farley has worked with the company since 1989, and in his most recent position, he has served as director for Wholesale and Provider of Last Resort (POLR) Transactions. In the vice president role, Farley will oversee strategic planning and other functions of the company’s sales operations, as well as manage sales channels associated with residential, industrial and governmental aggregation clients.
"Brian brings to this position his extensive knowledge of the wholesale market, which will help us as we continue to leverage both the wholesale and retail markets to optimize our portfolio, manage risk and take advantage of upside opportunities," Donny Schneider, president of FirstEnergy Solutions, said. "Brian has a wealth of experience identifying advantageous opportunities, executing risk-mitigating strategies and cultivating high-performing teams, and I look forward to him sharing that understanding and enthusiasm with FirstEnergy Solutions' sales team."
Farley earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. Farley's first position with FirstEnergy Solutions was as an industrial representative, and he spent the earlier part of his career specializing in supply-planning operations.
FirstEnergy Solutions is a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. and serves customers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.
