Hyperspring LLC, a subsidiary of GSE Systems Inc., has been awarded a contract to continue its nuclear operations support services to a utility in the southern United States, the company announced on Monday.

The contract is worth up to $35 million and under this contract, Hyperspring would provide services relating to the training and qualification activity which includes development and maintenance on training programs. Instructors that will serve the utility in this manner will also be tasked with ensuring that operating staff and technical advisers are meeting regulatory accreditation requirements.

"This contract is a continuation of a long standing relationship with the utility customer and reflects their satisfaction with the quality of services we have provided," Hyperspring President Paul Abbott said. "We are honored to serve this customer, are proud of the value we have provided and are excited for the opportunity to continue the relationship, serving the customer’s needs well into the future.”

Over the course of 2014 and the first half of 2015, Hyperspring generated approximately $16.4 million.

Hyperspring is focused on providing professional plant support services to power generation facilities. Services offered include the development of procedure writing, instruction, training development and corrective action services. The company was acquired by GSE Systems in Nov. 2014.
