FirstEnergy announces leadership changes

FirstEnergy Corp. has made several changes to its leadership structure, the corporation announced Friday.

James Lash and James Pearson have been promoted to executive vice presidents within the corporate structure. Lash previously served as the president of FirstEnergy Generation. Pearson served as the corporate senior vice president and chief financial officer, and will now serve as an executive vice president in addition to the chief financial role.

Charles Lasky has been promoted to serve as a senior vice president of human resources. Previously, he served as vice president of Fossil Fleet Operations. Lasky, Lash and Pearson will report to President and CEO Charles Jones.

Gregory Hanlon, who previously served as a fleet director of regulatory affairs, has been promoted to vice president of regulatory affairs and laboratory services. In this position, Hanlon will oversee the company's BETA Laboratory.

Donald Mould has been promoted to senior vice president of fossil and environmental operations and will oversee the corporate environmental group and its fossil generation fleet.

William Boyd has been selected to serve in a newly created position. He will serve as the vice president of asset management and be tasked with the oversight of cost-saving programs and other matters relating to capital investments.
