The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) relaunched its "Powered by Our People" promotion on Thursday.
The program initially was launched in the summer of 2014, featuring NEI members showcasing their work at their respective power plants or within their specific areas of service or research in the nuclear power industry.
Recent additions to this promotion include blog posts from Brian Highland, who works on rotation as a chemical- and radiation-protection instructor at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant in California, near Avila Beach, and a video from Melissa Walter, who works in the research department at Westinghouse as a technician.
In both instances, they described the work they do at their respective organizations or companies.
The promotion is part of the larger Future of Energy campaign, which aims to highlight the benefits of nuclear energy on economic growth, job creation, clean air and the diversification of energy.
“Members can share these stories to both their internal and external audiences,” Tracy Mason , NEI senior director of public affairs, said. “I am looking forward to seeing the creative ways in which our industry communicates these innovation messages in their markets.”
Additional stories and videos can be seen on the NEI's Nuclear Notes website, and videos can be uploaded to the NEI Youtube channel.
