Alliant Energy Corp. President and CEO Patricia Kampling announced on Wednesday that Robert Durian will be taking on the role of vice president.

Durian holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and is a licensed CPA. Durian is pursuing an MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Durian has worked with Alliant Energy since 1992 and has served in areas relating to financial reporting, utility accounting and asset management. He has served in many leadership and supervisory roles including the directorship of financial reporting, manager of financial reporting and internal reporting, as well as assistant controller.
 
In 2011, Durian was selected to serve as the chief accounting officer and controller, two positions that he will continue along with additional responsibilities as vice president.

This announcement follows the addition of Deborah Dunie and Thomas O'Toole to the corporation's board of directors.

Alliant Energy is located in Madison, Wisconsin, and is a provider of electric and natural gas services across Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota. They report approximately one million clients for the their electric service and approximately 410,000 clients for their natural gas service. Alliant Energy owns two public utility subsidiaries, Interstate Power and Light Company and Wisconsin Power and Light Company.
