FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. (FENOC) announced Friday that it has selected Raymond Lieb to take on the role of senior vice president of Fleet Engineering.
The company announced that Brian Boles was selected to take Lieb's position as the site vice president for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. In this role, Boles will oversee management, coordination and direction of the plant and its activities.
In Lieb's new role, he will be tasked with providing guidance and oversight of the engineering division of FENOC. He will be working to ensure that engineers are performing as they should and that nuclear plants owned by the company are operating safely and efficiently.
"Ray's extensive engineering background and solid understanding of plant operations will benefit FENOC's fleet engineering organization," FENOC President and Chief Nuclear Officer Samuel Belcher said. "In addition, Brian's past experience at Davis-Besse and his solid leadership abilities will assist the site in continuing to achieve top industry performance. We are fortunate to have a deep bench of solid leaders within FENOC, and I am confident Ray and Brian will continue to guide the safe, reliable and cost-efficient operations of our nuclear plants in their new roles."
Lieb has been working for commercial nuclear facilities since 1993 following service in the Navy's nuclear division. He holds a master's degree in engineering management from Old Dominion University and senior reactor operator license.
Boles has worked with the company since 1985 and holds a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and a senior reactor license.
