Babcock & Wilcox Co., of Charlotte, North Carolina, announced last week the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the Form 10 registration statement filed by Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc.
Included in the Form 10 for the new B&W was an information statement that will be sent to company stockholders who are entitled to common stock in the spin-off. This statement will contain additional details about the transaction.

As was previously announced, the company's name will change to BWX Technologies Inc. after the spin-off is launched.
The Babcock & Wilcox Co. specializes in clean energy technology and services, focused mostly on the nuclear, fossil and renewable power markets. The company also provides advanced technology and mission critical defense contractors. B&W has locations across the globe and employs more than 11,000 people.
