The Vermont Public Service Department announced on Friday that its Nuclear Decommissioning Citizens Advisory Panel will meet on May 28 in Brattleboro, Vermont.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at Brattleboro Union High, located at 131 Fairground Road.
The agenda includes presentations on Vermont Public Service Board’s Certificate of Public Good (CPG) process and Entergy Nuclear’s petition for a CPG for a second dry cask storage pad at the Vermont Yankee site.
The Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station, which had been operating since 1972, completed its 30th and final operating cycle in December 2014. The Yankee site supplied nearly one-third of all electricity in Vermont.
