Regina Davis has been named communications director of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
Davis will be NARUC’s main connection with the press, as she will assist writing, editing and publishing testimonies, speeches, press releases and other NARUC correspondence. She will also help NARUC advertise its three yearly meetings, create NARUC’s bi-weekly bulletin and supervise website updates.
Davis was previously communications director at the Maryland Public Service Commission, where she was the commission’s main spokesperson at nonprofit, civic, charitable, educational and community events. She organized press conferences, supervised website design, created social media strategies, created communications strategies and assisted the agency in developing its missions and vision statements.
“We are fortunate to find someone of Regina’s caliber for this position,” NARUC President Lisa Edger said. “Her hands-on experience at a state commission will serve our members well. She understands the issues we face and, more importantly, has a strong track record of communicating with the media and the consumers we serve.”
Davis has a master of arts in mass communications from the University of Florida and a bachelor of science in mass communications from Towson University.
