FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) announced Tuesday that Samuel Belcher will replace Peter Sena as its president and chief nuclear officer.
In his new position Belcher, who is currently FENOC’s senior vice president and chief operating officer,
will provide counsel and strategy to the FENOC nuclear fleet along with industry leadership to drive high standards and best practices that enhance U.S. nuclear industry performance.
In a related move, Paul Harden, FENOC senior vice president of Fleet Engineering, has been named senior vice president and chief operating officer. In his new position, Harden will oversee the day-to-day operations of FENOC’s nuclear generating stations. Harden also will serve as FENOC’s primary contact with industry regulators and organizations.

FirstEnergy is a diversified energy company headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Its FENOC subsidiary operates the Beaver Valley Power Station in Shippingport, Pennsylvania; the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio; and the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station in Oak Harbor, Ohio.
