Fluor Corp., a global engineering and construction firm, has been awarded a five-year operations and maintenance contract by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to serve as the company’s services supplier for the two-unit Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, California.
Fluor has provided mechanical and electrical upkeep at Diablo Canyon Power Plant since 2010.
“The Fluor team is pleased to have been selected by PG&E to serve as its integrated service supplier at Diablo Canyon,” Fluor Power President Matthew McSorley said. “By integrating supplier services, we will continue to provide PG&E with cost-effective solutions that are grounded in a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. We look forward to supporting the safe, reliable and affordable operation of the Diablo Canyon plant.”
Under the new five-year contract, Fluor has gained responsibility for site services, facility maintenance, strategic and station projects, engineering services and outage services at the Diablo Canyon facility.
