Vadim Titov, the regional vice president of Rosatom International Network and head of Rosatom Central Europe, gave a presentation at
The Nuclear Energy on the Liberalized Energy Market: Technology, Financing, PIanning conference in Sofia, Bulgaria, last week.

The conference addressed the contemporary issues that the global nuclear energy industry faces.

Titov emphasized Rosatom’s leadership role in the world’s nuclear energy industry. He stated that Rosatom has set aside more than $100 billion for international orders. Most of the budget is connected to nuclear power plant (NPP) building contracts in international regions. Most recently, the company signed contracts with leaders in Europe, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East to establish another 29 units.

“ROSATOM includes enterprises from all stages of the NPP’s life cycle, starting with the delivery and the enrichment of Uranium, and ending with the decommissioning of the plant,” Titov said. “Consequently, we can control the value of every single stage of production and, of course, the price of kWh electricity energy, produced by our NPPs.”

Representatives  from numerous other government entities and organizations attended the event, including CEZ, the Chinese State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC), the European Parliament, leading international companies, the Bulgarian government and others.

The Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum and the Energy Management Institute (EMI) organized the event, which was supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy.
