Rosatom said this week that it plans to invest approximately $160 billion on foreign projects over the next two years.

As of early 2015, the company had approximately $101.4 billion worth of 10-year foreign contracts, which include fuel-cycle operations, maintenance and modernization of plants, equipment and the construction of new nuclear power plants.

Rosatom First Deputy CEO for Corporate Development and International Business Kirill Komarov said the company is planning construction contracts for approximately 30 to 40 new energy blocks within the next five years.

The company’s website lists six countries where it is involved in the construction of nuclear power plants: India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey, Belarus and China, where the company is constructing a total of 13 nuclear reactors.

The Russian news agency TASS said this week that a finalized agreement will be reached with Egypt in early 2016 to facilitate the construction of four reactors there.

Domestically, Rosatom has six reactors under construction at three facilities and four that are in the planning stages at the Novovornezh and Leningrad Nuclear Power Plants.

The company said it has approximately $300 billion in current construction contracts.
