Industry analyst Enterprise Management Associates named PFP Cybersecurity as a Vendor to Watch on Monday, which means it provides unique solutions to consumers by solving previously unaddressed problems.

Based in Washington D.C., PFP launched this week, offering consumers cyber cecurity threat detection technology based on a physics-based approach.

“The cyber threat landscape has evolved so much in the past few years and as a result, we must also evolve the technologies used to detect these advanced threats,” Steven Chen, founder and executive chairman of PFP, said.  “At PFP, we believe that our disruptive approach of monitoring changes in power consumption to detect threats targeted at the supply chain and industrial control systems is what the industry needs right now.”

PFP’s technology has the ability to detect cyber strikes at both the hardware and firmware level by allowing businesses and government agencies to detect power consumption complications right at the source of any breach.

“PFP offers an unrealized ability to deploy high sensitivity malware detection in current infrastructures without the need to change the systems and with savings in recertification costs of legacy systems,” David Monahan, research director at EMA, said. “The air-gapped implementation means it cannot be detected by hackers; and the fact that it is a ‘physics-based’ solution makes it impossible to evade.”
