GEH-C, Candu to explore fuel cycle technology through Canada-UK agreement

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada (GEH-C) and Candu Energy, Inc., will be collaborating on fuel cycle technology research and development following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on nuclear technology cooperation by the U.K. and Canada on Monday.  Specifically both companies' focus will be on possible ways that civil plutonium in the U.K. could be utilized in Candu reactors.
