The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Conference on Computer Security in a Nuclear World from June 1 to 5 at its headquarters in Vienna is expected to draw more than 650 nuclear stakeholders.
The conference will be an opportunity for industry experts and international agencies to exchange knowledge relating to the protection of nuclear facilities from computer attacks. Joining the IAEA in its organization are the International Criminal Police Organization, the International Telecommunication Union, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
Coming from 92 member states and 17 agencies, the conference’s attendees will include nuclear regulators, nuclear facility operators, law enforcement representative, system and security vendors and regional and international organizations. These participants will learn about the full spectrum of instituting a cyber security system, from threat analysis to managing nuclear security and industrial control systems.
Other conference segments will cover national perspectives on computer security, operator experience in computer security implementation and the latest trends in cyberattacks and defending against them.
