ExchangeMonitor names new program manager

ExchangeMonitor Forums and Publications announced Thursday that Rob Smart has joined the company as a program manager for nuclear-centric conferences.

Prior to this, Smart was a senior fellow with the U.S. Nuclear Infrastructure Council (NIC) in Washington, D.C. He is credited with the launch of the council’s Diplomatic Roundtable series on nuclear energy.

“Following the success of the 2014 events, we are excited to welcome Rob, who has valuable insight that will prove beneficial for our attendees,” group publisher of ExchangeMonitor

Conferences that Smart will manage include the RadWaste Summit, the Nuclear Deference Summit and the Decisionmaker’s Forum.

Smart holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard and an engineering degree from Princeton. Prior to serving on the NIC, Smart was in several senior management positions with AREVA and Framarome USA Inc. He has also served with Bell Atlantic Corp. and Honeywell Information Systems.
