Day & Zimmermann NPS names new vice president

Day & Zimmermann NPS, a provider of construction and engineering, staffing and defense solutions, yesterday announced that Darren Gale has been named vice president of nuclear operations.

“Darren is an effective leader with more than 30 years of nuclear industry experience,”

Day & Zimmermann NPS President Walter Sanders said. “He is joining a strong leadership team and we are confident that he will be a valuable contributor to operational excellence.”

Day & Zimmermann is a division of the company’s engineering, construction and maintenance group, which is based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Gale will be responsible for managing all aspects of service to the NPS nuclear customer base.

Prior to joining Day & Zimmermann NPS, Gale held various positions in the nuclear power industry. He served as vice president and project director for an international provider of energy products and services where he was responsible for directing and securing funding for mPower Development and Licensing program.
He also served as vice president of steam generator services for a global provider of nuclear power products and services designed to ensure nuclear reactor safety and performance.

Gale earned his bachelors and masters degrees in nuclear engineering at Kansas State University and an MBA from Averett University.
