Cornelius Weitzmann joins Voith Turbo as new managing director

Cornelius Weitzmann recently joined Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG as the new managing director of the Power, Oil and Gas Division, replacing Matthias Grawe, who has left the company.

Weitzmann previously worked at Voith as one of its strategic planning personnel in 2007. In 2009, he became the managing director of Voith Paper, Inc.  He was named president of Fabric & Roll Systems EMEA in 2011.

Weitzmann also has worked at a German consultancy firm.

The Power, Oil & Gas Division at Voith Turbo creates and produces couplings, controllers, variable speed drives, and valves to deliver and transport gas and oil. Various industries including energy, mining engineering, mechanical engineering, oil and gas, ship technology, commercial vehicles, and rail depend on Voith Turbo to create advanced technologies for their innovations.

“The oil and gas business is one of our most important growth industries,” Carsten Reinhardt, chairman of the management board at Voith Turbo, said. “With his comprehensive strategic experience, Cornelius Weitzmann is well-positioned to continue to strengthen our international success and develop new fields of business.”

Voith Turbo, which specializes in intelligent drive systems and solutions, is a Group Division of Voith GmbH. This division includes Voith Schneider Propeller, Voith Linear Jet and Voith Marine Technology.
