The company states that it’s the only manufacturer for the naval nuclear program’s reactors and has been manufacturing components as far back as the 1950s for the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear-powered submarine. Among the financing announced today, $9.4 million came as a result of continuations of earlier contracts and approximately $25.1 million was established through new contracts.

Reactors that were manufactured by the company are used in Ohio, Virginia, Los Angeles and Seawolf class submarines. They are also used on the USS Nimitz and the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carriers.

The company states that it is a leading supplier of nuclear fuel and components to the U.S. government while providing management, technical and site services.
