Black & Veatch (B&V) recently opened two offices in Ireland to support water and energy infrastructure in the country.

Ireland is facing challenges that many others around the world face in the transition to more environmentally sustainable, low-carbon economies, the company said. Staff at the new B&V offices will be working alongside energy and water infrastructure experts in order to make this transition a smooth one.

“Around the world Black & Veatch consults, delivers and manages critical human infrastructure in water and energy,” Tom O’Reilly, B&V’s regional business manager for Ireland, said. “Ireland is seeking to maximize the potential of its abundant renewable resources and achieve greater efficiency in its water and wastewater services. By tailoring global best practice and emerging innovative technologies to Ireland’s needs, we can help meet these goals.”

The new offices are in Dublin and in Cork at the Irish Maritime and Energy Resource Cluster in Ringaskiddy. O’Reilly said this location was ideal considering the potential of tidal and marine energy in the area.

B&V specializes in the building of infrastructure systems for telecommunication, government services, energy and water. The company has served in more than 100 countries in this capacity.
