Bechtel honors 27 subcontractors, suppliers for outstanding work

Bechtel recently presented 27 companies its annual Subcontractor and Supplier Recognition Awards for supporting the company’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental global business unit in nuclear power, environmental clean-up, defense, facility start-up, and nuclear security and operations last year.

The top award winners included: Ellis & Watts Global Industries, Inc., Large Business Supplier winner, for work at the Blue Grass Chemical-Agent Destruction Pilot Plant, Richmond, Kentucky; IONEX Research Corp., Small Business Supplier winner, for work at the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant, Richland, Washington; Lasertel, Inc., Large Business Subcontractor winner, for work supporting Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, California; and Hawthorne Machinery Co., Small Business Subcontractor winner, for work supporting Kwajalein Range Services, Kwajalein Atoll, the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental Global Business Unit President Craig Albert said the company’s vendors, subcontractors and suppliers are integral team members who do amazing, innovative work in extremely difficult places.

“These award recipients not only met our high standards for quality and performance, but also went above and beyond for mission delivery,” Albert said.

Following the signing of the implementation agreement for the $300 million Independent Power Project in January 2020, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy in Saudi Arabia, ACWA Power today executed the official agreements for the 240 MW wind power project that will be located in the Absheron and Khizi regions.

Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, completed the sale of a majority interest in its Beacon portfolio to TortoiseEcofin and S&B USA Energy. Each buyer has acquired a 49.5% ownership of the portfolio. Capital Dynamics retains a minority stake of 1%.
