Athabasca Nuclear Corp. announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Ryan Cheung to serve as the company’s CFO.

Cheung is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (B.C.) and has been since January of 2008. He is the founder and manager of Midland Chartered Accountants located in Vancouver. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of B.C. and a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Victoria.

According to the announcement Cheung serves as a director and consultant for companies within the public and private sector and provides services in financial reporting, strategic guidance and taxation.

The company is focused in the exploration and discovery of uranium deposits in the Western Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada and in other areas.

On Oct. 23, the company released a report of their drilling results at the Preston Uranium Property. Within this report, they state that five drilling holes were completed over this past summer and have a combined length of 1,318 meters. The company reports that they had intersected anomalous radioactivity and sulphide that was indicative of altered and structurally disrupted lithology.

The company also operates the Pikoo diamond camp and the Garland nickel-cobalt-PGM camp.
