Babcock & Wilcox announces restructuring

Babcock & Wilcox Co., of Charlotte, North Carolina, announced last week the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the Form 10 registration statement filed by Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc.

Included in the Form 10 for the new B&W was an information statement that will be sent to company stockholders who are entitled to common stock in the spin-off. This statement will contain additional details about the transaction.

The full text of the preliminary information statement is available online at www.babcock.com. As was previously announced, the company's name will change to BWX Technologies Inc. after the spin-off is launched.

The Babcock & Wilcox Co. specializes in clean energy technology and services, focused mostly on the nuclear, fossil and renewable power markets. The company also provides advanced technology and mission critical defense contractors. B&W has locations across the globe and employs more than 11,000 people.
