Energy Information Administration to hold 2015 conference

The United States Energy Information Administration recently announced that it will hold the 2015 EIA Energy Conference June 15-16 in Washington, D.C.

This energy conference is one of the leading forums that addresses energy issues around the world in the U.S. The event unites leaders from government, industry and academia to discuss current and future challenges that domestic and international energy markets and policymakers face in a changing world.

Breakout session topics will cover subjects including North American energy markets; the production, economy, and geopolitics of oil prices; electricity markets and their emerging energy storage technologies; greenhouse gas emissions from power and methane; global and domestic markets for natural gas; energy through water and rail; the 21st century’s electric distribution markets; developments in the markets for hydrocarbon gas liquids; infrastructure options and needs for energy; and residential and commercial energy consumption.

Keynote speakers at the conference will include U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, Mexico  Secretary of Energy Pedro Joaqui­n Coldwell, Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND), Continental Resources CEO and Chairman Harold Hamm, BNSF Railway Executive Chairman Matthew Rose, and Tesla Motors co-founder JB Straubel.
