Senate panel advances energy infrastructure funding bill

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy, Water Development and Related Agencies approved the fiscal 2016 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill on Tuesday. House duo: Congress, industry must address nuclear-waste storage needs

Two U.S. House members told 800 power-industry leaders attending the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) annual conference last week that now is the time for Congress and the industry to tackle used-nuclear-fuel policy. NEI conference speakers see bright future for nuclear energy

Two speakers during this week's three-day Nuclear Energy Institute's (NEI) Industry Conference and Supplier Expo in Washington, D.C., predicted that nuclear-energy use would increase in the future. U.S., China hold 10th Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Technology meeting

The U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the National Energy Administration of China (NEA) recently convened their 10th Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Technology (PUNT) Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting, held in Chengdu, China. The joint meetings develop working groups that examine various issues, including safe nuclear technology and usage, national safeguards, radioactive source security, nuclear-waste management and management of nuclear emergencies. Nuclear Energy Institute program expands alliance with Energy Department
