Energy secretary unveils plan to boost U.S. energy productivity by 2030

Energy Department awards $60 million to 68 promising nuclear projects

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) said last week that it has awarded more than $60 million to 68 nuclear projects from across the country that have the potential to create scientific breakthroughs that strengthen the nation’s energy security and cut harmful greenhouse-gas emissions. Senate panel advances energy infrastructure funding bill

The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy, Water Development and Related Agencies approved the fiscal 2016 Energy and Water Development Appropriations Bill on Tuesday. If passed, the bill would provide the Department of Energy with $35.4 billion, which would be utilized to ensure nuclear security, facilitate research and development, and finance infrastructure projects.
