Tipps to join Certrec compliance team

Certrec announced Tuesday it has added Steve Tipps to its licensing and compliance team, where he will provide support to clients of several nuclear fleets including the Southern Nuclear, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and the company's Regional Utilities Group.

“I have known Steve for many years and have enjoyed working with him,” Certrec President Ted Enos said. "Steve was instrumental in helping us develop one of our research products in the 1990s, and I am very excited to have him on board. His licensing knowledge further enhances the value of our Office of Licensing and Compliance Team to our customers.”

Tipps previously worked as a licensing supervisor with Plant Hatch and has approximately 40 years worth of experience in the areas of compliance, licensing, engineering and operations.

“I am pleased and excited to become a part of the Certrec team and am looking forward to leveraging my knowledge and experience to continue to strengthen the performance of the plants and the industry we serve," Tipps said.

The company specializes in the engineering and technological support for electrical generation in the U.S. and have worked with generation plants that use renewable fuels, fossil fuels and nuclear power.
