NRC to host annual Fuel Cycle Information Exchange May 9-10

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) said on Monday that the 10th annual Fuel Cycle Information Exchange will take place June 9-10 in Rockville, Maryland.

The conference will be held at the NRC Auditorium, at 1545 Rockville Pike, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT on June 9 and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 10.

At the forum, participants will be engaged in discussions relating to uranium enrichment, nuclear fuel fabrication, conversion and de-conversion of depleted uranium materials. NRC Commissioners William Ostendorff and Jeff Baran will join Executive Director for Operations Mark Satorius in delivering remarks. The event's keynote speaker will be Principal of Energy Resources International Eileen Supko on June 9.

Topics at the conference will include safety culture, licensing, inspection, security and other safeguards.
 
Registration for the event is open and can be found at the NRC website. Online registration will close on May 30, but individuals may be able to register at the event itself. Those who are affiliated with news media or the NRC are asked to identify that within the registration submission form.
